Ear Seed Practice
A simple wellness ritual rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine: ear seeds are tiny pressure points placed on specific areas of the ear to gently support the body through acupressure.
Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years, ear seeds remain a popular everyday wellness practice across Asia for supporting relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing.
People often use ear seeds to support: Sleep & relaxation, Stress & emotional balance, Energy & focus, Hormonal wellbeing, Digestion & cravings, Tension & headaches, and much more.
Why ear seeds work
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the ear is viewed as a map of the whole body, often illustrated as an upside-down baby shape within the ear.
Different points are believed to connect to different areas of the body. By gently stimulating these points, ear seeds are traditionally used to support balance, and the body's natural rhythms.
From a modern perspective, the ear contains a rich network of nerves and connective tissue. Gentle stimulation may help promote relaxation, body awareness, and nervous system regulation.
Like many wellness practices, consistency matters more than intensity.

Common questions
How long do I wear them?
Usually 3–5 days. Or sooner if you feel itchy or uncomfortable.
Can they get wet?
Yes, showering is fine. Avoid excessive rubbing or soaking.
What does pressing feel like?
You may feel pressure, warmth, tingling, or tenderness.
Can I sleep with them in?
Yes, they are designed to be worn day and night.
How quickly will I notice effects?
Everyone is different. Some people notice the experience settling in within the first few days; for others it takes a few weeks of consistent practice. Let it be gradual.
How long is a practice cycle?
For each condition, most people use ear seeds consistently for around 4 weeks. This includes wearing for 3–5 days, resting for 2 days, and repeating on the other ear.
Can I wear them longer than 5 days?
We recommend removing them after 3–5 days to allow the skin to rest.
Can I wear them on both ears?
In traditional TCM practice, ear seeds are often applied to one ear at a time and alternated between sides. This gentler approach is believed to help the body respond more harmoniously and avoid overstimulation.
Why are some points more sensitive?
More sensitive points are traditionally believed to reflect areas of imbalance or tension in the body. Tenderness usually reduces over time with consistent practice.
What if a seed falls off?
Simply replace it if needed, or wait until your next application cycle.
Can children use ear seeds?
Children can be more sensitive to stimulation. We recommend using fewer points and gentler pressure, and consulting a qualified practitioner when appropriate.
